The new monta rPET 873 presents one solution to reduce the use of virgin, fossil-based materials and minimise waste.
Its comparably thin yet strong rPET film backing consist of 90% post consumer PET recyclate. Unlike bottles from closed deposit return schemes, it originates from disposed of PET bottles that are collected intentionally for the production of recyclate. Apart from giving bottles a new life, this effectively prevents the release of microplastics in the environment.
Given its recycled film, the new monta Greenline adhesive tape not only contributes to the circular economy but also qualifies for exemption from the EU plastic tax, imposed by some member states.
Its efficient natural rubber adhesive offers excellent immediate tack and adhesive strength, forming a durable bond with the carton, even with just one layer of tape. monta 873 also performs well on testliners with high recycled content, whether applied manually or by an automated packaging line, and is suitable for transportation routes exposed to fluctuating temperatures.
Thanks to its resource-efficient product design, monta 873 offers up to 100% extra tape per roll. In addition to its material-saving application, this reduces unnecessary roll changes and packaging material, while making the best use of valuable cargo space.
