Environmental consciousness and strong performance united in an adhesive tape with green message: monta 872 VG is based on a carrier made from 90% post-consumer PET recyclate. Thus, it decreases the use of virgin fossil-based materials and contributes to the circular economy. The PET bottles used for the recyclate don’t originate from closed deposit schemes but were collected in the environment. This reduces plastic waste and prevents the release of micro-plastics in the environment.
A green imprint visualizes the sustainable origin of our monta 872 VG at first glance: A bottle-shaped recycling symbol is accompanied by a text which explains the composition of the product.
Besides its resource-saving material base, monta 872 VG impresses with its performance. The coating with natural rubber adhesive leads to excellent immediate tack and adhesive strength, even on testliners with high recycled content and during transportation routes exposed to fluctuating temperatures. This new adhesive tape of our monta Greenline range unwinds silently and is perfectly suitable for the permanent closure of medium heavy cardboard boxes. The amount of tape per roll is doubled to 132m, leading to a reduction of roll changes as well as the need for valuable cargo space. Thanks to its recycled backing, monta 872 VG qualifies for exemption from the EU plastic tax.
