Their backing is a comparably thin yet strong rPET film consisting of 90% post consumer PET recyclate. Unlike bottles from closed deposit return schemes, it originates from disposed of PET bottles that are collected intentionally for the production of the recyclate. Apart from giving bottles a new life, this effectively prevents the release of micro-plastics in the environment.
Besides their contribution to the circular economy, thanks to their recycled film the new monta rPET tapes qualify for exemption from the EU plastic tax, imposed by some member states.
Their efficient natural rubber adhesive offers excellent immediate tack and adhesive strength, thereby forming a durable bond with the carton, even with just one layer of tape, and making monta rPET tapes perfect for the application on testliners with high recycled content. The ideal choice for manual and machine application, even for transportation routes with challenging climate conditions.
Thanks to their resource-efficient product design, monta rPET tapes offer up to 100% extra tape per roll. In addition to their material-saving application, this reduces roll changes and packaging material, while making the best use of valuable cargo space.
monta rPET tapes are part of our monta Greenline portfolio and are available in two versions: monta 873 is perfect for manual use and particularly well suited for machine application. The low noise version monta 872 unwinds silently, great for ergonomic work environments. Apart being pleasant to your ears, it is directly printable with brilliant print results, making it a resource-saving tape with individual marketing benefits. It is available as hand and printers rolls.
